As a headshot photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of working with clients from all walks of life, each with their unique style and personality. One question that frequently comes up before a session is, “What should I wear?” It’s a valid concern because your outfit can significantly impact the outcome of your headshots.

So, This week I will dive into some expert advice on dressing for success when it comes to your headshot session.

Part 1:  Choose Colors That Complement Your Skin Tone or Matches Your Branding and Vibe:

Selecting the right colors can make a world of difference in how you appear in your headshots. Consider your skin tone when choosing your outfit. For example, if you have fair skin, soft pastels and cool tones like blues and purples can be flattering. If you have a darker complexion, jewel tones and rich hues like emerald green or burgundy can enhance your features. Experiment with different colors to see what works best for you.
